This morning we took up residence at our new desks. Most of the first half hour or so was spent unloading our gear from the crates (I had to do Demelza's as well as mine as she was on a late start today) and logging out of the phones at our old desks and into our new ones. Both Demelza and I now face in different directions from the ones we were used to, so took a little time to adjust. Someone suggested we swap desks, which would put us back facing our old ways; needless to say we weren't up for even more upheaval.

To Westleigh Park tonight to see the Hawks play Maidenhead. Manny gave us the lead from the penalty spot ten minutes in, Ian Selley and Manny both spurned good chances to score, then with nine minutes remaining Jake Newton sent a Maidenhead player sprawling in the box and they equalised with the spot-kick. That's it, we all said, it's going to be a draw - until, in injury time, Giuseppe Sole got on the end of a long goal-kick, raced into the box and slotted home the winner. Cue a riotous rendition of Under The Moon Of Love from the Hawk choir behind the goal.

And I'm on a day's leave tomorrow. Sweet as a nut.
