Followed Hawks' match at E*******h this afternoon via the Beasts' official radio station. The commentary was actually pretty good and didn't show over-the-top bias, though on the Hawk forum my pal Matt queried their assertion that Muzzy Tiryaki should have been sent off for a challenge on Byles. E*******h took the lead with just under half an hour gone, but Leon Cashman hooked in an equaliser and Muzzy put the Hawks in front on the stroke of half time. Alas, a defensive ricket let the Beasts back in front in injury time and then they put the cherry on the cake with a fourth from a (deserved, according to the EFC radio commentator) penalty.

Losing to that lot is always gutting, and any illusions that the super-optimists among our fans might have had about making the play-offs must surely be dead now.
