(no subject)

All's going OK on my temporary posting so far, it's mostly typing information from paperwork onto a database and spreadsheets though there's often a bit of working-out involved. There's always plenty to do, I can see why they've borrowed people for this month. My temporary team seem like a good bunch - Dave, the boss though quite a young guy, seems a quiet chap but nice enough, and Jan, who's mentoring me, is a bit of a character. A couple of the others were discussing their fantasy league picks during the quiet of the early morning so I managed to get into a footie conversation, on Liverpool's prospects under Roy Hodgson's stewardship and the apparent sudden urgency for several England players to have long-delayed operations this week and so miss the Bulgaria match.

Hay fever still virulent yesterday - when I was sitting next to an open window overlooking the construction works - but nowhere near as bad today, when I wasn't, so I think it must have been the builders' dust. Phew.
