Vodafone Are Doughnuts, Part 94 : today my bill arrived. The good news is I've had my monthly charge adjusted to the half price discount and last month's overpayment rectified; the bad news is, though my price plan supposedly includes 50 free text messages a month, I've actually been getting charged for every single text I send. Thank goodness they sent me an itemised bill this month for the first time and I was able to spot this. So time for yet another phone call to their customer service centre, where the girl confirmed that this had indeed been a mistake and that in next month's bill she'd refund the text message charges for this month, plus the ones for next month that were already on the system. Alas, I had no hope of reclaiming the fair amount they've scammed off me in text message charges that shouldn't have been over the years, since I no longer have my old bills. Thank goodness for whoever decided I'd get an itemised one this time.

Driving lesson. Better than the last two, though I still got told off for approaching junctions too fast (that was solved when Peter told me not to put the clutch down too early) and not staying on the brake long enough when going round bends. Peter said my main failing was still not concentrating enough on the long view of the road ahead and so not responding early enough to situations. I did a perfect bay park, and my reverse round a corner was better than in recent weeks, though still zigzag. When doing my parallel park, on my first observation stop I found myself facing a car coming the other way. My first inclination was to let him pass before finishing the move, but Peter told me "You'll have to go back, you can't sit there." I took that as meaning "get out of his way as soon as possible" so pulled off the parallel park perfectly, but without doing pauses for observation, so I got told I still had to do those. Rattled, I proceeded to stall twice when trying to start to move to begin a turn in the road, but once I got going did the manoeuvre OK.
