May. 27th, 2009 03:26 pmJust over an hour into the shift, I loped over to Sue #5's desk and was told Elaine wants me to start on the 8th. So it's 5 more shifts on the phones, but on the bright side I'm able to book next Monday as annual leave and stay the whole weekend in a hotel in Plymouth, avoiding having to either get up at silly o'clock to haul my butt over to Westleigh Park to cadge a lift with the girls or arrive back in Gosport at midnight Sunday night.
Paula's on holiday next week, so as she pointed out today was still our last shift together. She moved in for a hug at the end, and Lynda said I'd better bring some nice nibbles in on my last day. She asked if I'd be watching the Champions League Final; I replied that I'd see the first half.
"Why only the first half?"
"There's a [TNA] wrestling pay-per-view at nine."
"So some things are more important than Man U?" she laughed. I explained that TNA tops everything except Havant & Waterlooville, East Stirlingshire, the Dutch national side and Torino.
