Bumped into Brad at the canteen servery. As it was the first time we'd met since Patrick McGoohan died, he wanted to talk about him so joined me at my table. He told me about several films and shows Patrick had filmed that I'd never heard of - this guy is a superfan - and, after lamenting that nobody had been there to record Patrick's stage appearances in the 50s and that PM had turned down the roles of Dumbledore in Harry Potter and Gandalf in Lord of the Rings, he said he'd lend me his recording of rare cinecamere footage of a play PM starred in in the late 1950s, promising that it's really great. We discussed favourite Prisoner episodes and stars - unsurprisingly we both had Leo as favourite #2 - then Brad updated me on an imminent new remake of the TV series.
