Driving lesson. Better than last week - I did a good bay park and a not bad reverse round a corner, the latter albeit with a couple of prompts from Peter. My turn in the road hit the snag of my meeting the kerb at the end of the first reverse leg. Open road driving not bad except for the occasional panic caused by my not getting the gear lever bang on (I went into fourth in place of second one time), and I had to do sudden slow-downs and stops when traffic lights went red - Peter said always slow down in preparation if the lights have been on green for a while. Just about starting to get the hang of parallel parking.

Keeping an eye on Sky Sports News in between doing my Statto duty tonight, I saw Hawks had drawn 3-3 in their FA Trophy tie at Lewes. Great, I thought, replay at Westleigh Park next Monday - a game I might actually get to? Once my work was finished I surfed on to the site of the league I cover to check the fixture pages. Premier Division - no games next Monday; First Division North - no games next Monday; looking promising...First Division South - one game next Monday.
