My last interview overran today; Paula and Rosemary both remarked that I'd missed my bus and were surprised I hadn't waved a paper about asking to be relieved, but with my financial situation I'm catching all the extra time I can get - even, in today's case, a mere quarter hour.

Paula saved me from nearly an hour hanging around the coffee lounge and gave me a lift to Fareham bus station. She thought Damien was the best performer on Your Country Needs You and was flabbergasted when I said I thought he was the weakest, but she agrees with me that Emperors of Soul or Jade should win.
