I was meant to be on Statto duty covering two matches this afternoon, meaning I'd have to miss the Hawks Ladies' home game with BTC Riverside, but one of the games was called off this morning and the second one was due a pitch inspection at 12.30. After repeated calls to the home club's secretary had only got his voicemail, at 12.40 I got through to their press officer, who said the match was off. I hightailed it straight down to Fort Blockhouse, and saw the girls fail to break down BTC's defence for an hour but then score three without reply. Kushti.
