Oct. 15th, 2007 11:06 pmOn the bus to work, got a text from Malc to say Hawks have been drawn at home to Leighton Town in the FA Cup 4th Qually. A team two divisions lower at home - I'm happy enough with that.
Just as we pulled into Fareham bus station my phone rang. I didn't manage to get it out of my pocket in time, and got recorded messages when I tried to phone back, but as my second bus was departing they called again. It was The News wanting to talk to me after I'd nominated the Hawks Ladies for Team of the Year. I gave them a few soundbites about the girls' achievement last season, and they asked me for a contact address for the girls to send them invitations to the Sports Awards so I gave them Trev's. Having just arrived at work, I'd not long been sitting in the coffee lounge glancing at my e-mail when my phone rang again - and again I was too slow retrieving it. It was The News again so I called them back - this time they wanted a phone number for Trevor.
With that over, I wandered across to the canteen for an excellent breaded pork steak.
