Walking home from the bus stop after work, there was a police cordon blocking off Alver Bridge. I had to walk back up to the south relief road, all the way out to the cycle path, and from there work my way through back streets and alleys - in the rain - to come out on the right side of the bridge for my street. Going past the bridge on the final stretch home, it looked like someone had been knocked down by a car :(

Made flapjack this evening, using black treacle in place of golden syrup (my mother created that recipe one Bonfire Night when I was a lad, because the shop was sold out of golden syrup; the result was very tasty), for tomorrow's Home Baking Day at work. Seems to have turned out OK - fingers crossed...

I'm well radged off right now. When Hawks' home match with Yeading was rained off on Monday night, I was the lone fan jumping for joy, as, looking at the fixture list, I thought the game was certain to be re-arranged for 2 April - during the college Easter holidays, so I'd have been able to attend.

Just visited the message board now, and there's a post from Trevor saying the game's been arranged for ... 16 April, when I'm back at bloody college. Idiots.
