YAYYYY JENNIFER!!!! Richly deserved.

One of my calls during the first hour was to an old lady who slammed the phone down while I was doing my introductory sentence. I called her again straight away; laughing, she apologised for hanging up and explained that she'd "been getting a lot of funny phone calls lately". Even so, how many nuisance callers open with "Good morning," as I did? But she did the whole survey and was perfectly polite from then on.

I was on a swap with Amanda #2 today, so had access to the other side's nibbles table. There were two dozen assorted Quality Street sweets there...too bad I've given up chocolate for Lent. So had to settle for a little pizza circle, a sausage roll and a couple of Maoam sticks. (I showed greater commitment to Lent than one of the supervisors, who confessed that she'd set out to give up chocolate and lasted three days, succumbing to a chocolate biscuit on Saturday. She'd gone on to have one of the Quality Streets this morning.)

Last interview took me 10 minutes over, so it was down to the coffee lounge to check my e-mail. Less relaxing than usual, as there were two builders plus a few guys from the office staff there so had to do my e-mails to the backdrop of multiple conversations. At least one bloke turned the TV over to Sky Sports News, so that wasn't too bad.

Back to college tonight. I'd already done all four of the Database exercises Joan had laid out on the table, so she had to dig out an old one for me to do tonight. Finished that with an hour of class remaining, so Joan showed Niki, Pam and me how to do reports on queries and left us to play around with those for the rest of the session.
