eiffel_71A nice quiet shift today, and there were some rather tasty little home-made chocolate cakes selling for 10p each for Children in Need. I'm sure that I overheard Ali discussing I'm A Celebrity 6 - she who'd vowed never to watch another reality TV show after getting addicted to BB7.
Mid-morning I went to ask Lorna if there was any news about my going to three days a week; she said yes, I'd got it. She led me over to Mary, who told me I could start working every Friday from December 1. I would, though, have to stay on till 2.30 like on Wednesdays and Thursdays. That made today a historic day - my last ever short shift.
Went down to the canteen at coffee break. The vending machine there is still dispensing hot brown water with coffee-flavoured lumps of matter in :(
Fittingly, for the last time, I got away bang on 1.30 - though the bus didn't leave till 1.57 anyway.
So as of January I'll be pulling in another £60 per month. I'll escape your clutches yet, Mistress Overdraft.
