eiffel_71By train to London early this afternoon. Arrived at Waterloo at 3.30, and checked out London Seaward’s Twitter to find the game had been called off 15 minutes earlier because of a waterlogged pitch.
Hit Pret A Manger for a Christmas baguette and coffee, then boarded the next train back home. At least the game was called off in time to stop me carrying on beyond Waterloo, but of course it was too short notice to get my Travelodge refunded.
I know London Seaward aren’t to blame for either of my wasted journeys, it’s just part of being a long-distance fan, but I’m totally played out and jaded. Ho hum.
