Here I Go Again

Check-up with my new dentist. She did a thorough assessment of all my teeth and gums, and told me to start brushing with the head of my electric brush tilted at a 45 degree angle from the top of the tooth, and said to make sure the gum area gets brushed. After X-raying both my sets of back teeth, she showed me the pictures on a screen, and pointed out an overhanging hooked appendage on a filling. She asked if I have trouble with flossing by that tooth, I said yes and she said the hook was where the floss was catching. So I have to have, after a routine hygienist visit, two more appointments for fillings - one on my broken tooth and one on the one with the hook. I knew from the dentist's name that she hailed from either the Czech Republic or Slovakia, so on my way out of the room I asked which she came from; she said it was Czechoslovakia when she was born, but that she is from what is now Slovakia.
Back with the receptionist, she printed my schedule of appointments - with what each of them were going to cost. I was getting off a bit lighter than I'd feared I might, but it was still a relief that my two filling appointments will come after I get my next pay cheque.
