Orange Juice Blues (Blues For Breakfast)

eiffel_71Confession time: I've become hooked on the goings-on on the current series of Love Island. Well, something's got to brighten up bleak January. For me much of it's down to the lovely Paige. She's a diamond.
Last night Wallace cracked me up referring to squash as 'diluting juice'. A quick glance at Twitter after the show revealed that that is what squash is called in Scotland. Who'd have guessed?
At the office we have a whiteboard, for motivational writings. Today Claire began writing "Surround yourself with..." I sang "Surround yourself with sorrow" and Claire said "The opposite, actually" and carried on writing "...people who lift you up". There's a space on the board marked 'Word of the Day'. Claire being an avid Love Island fan, she readily accepted my suggestion that today's Word of the Day be "Diluting juice".
My mate Alistair would have been 50 yesterday. I've had two of the favourite songs we and the rest of the gang used to listen to at Uni played on Classroom Classics on Galaxy Gold Radio. Hearing those songs and raising a glass to Alistair, I could still see the floor of the Hall of Residence where we lived, and the view from my room window of the path leading to the football pitch and the Social Club. Great days.
