Tom Tom Turnaround

eiffel_71An upsetting message on Instagram this morning. Yesterday I'd posted a picture of my Lady Pies mug. Found a comment from Tom this morning that it 'should be binned'.
I don't care how much he hated the team, that crossed a line.
Felt out of sorts all day at work (though completed all my tasks, on a busy day, with no problems).
I'd been wanting to have this out with Tom for months. Spent much of lunch time composing a reply in my mind that would spew him right back to the Lincoln stone he emerged from under.
Back home this evening, posted my long, hard thought out, well argued reply, letting him know firmly that my hurt at the loss of NCLFC is no way less than his at the end of Lincoln Ladies. Near the end I pointed out that that mug was custom made for me as a Christmas present from a work colleague (Secret Santa) and that that is the nicest thing anyone on my work team has ever done for me.
Almost straight away I got a brief reply saying he bears me no ill will and respects me as a women's football supporter. All my points unanswered. That doesn't surprise me.
