Well, that's it for Glasgow 2014. Massive congrats to all the Wales medallists for our best ever haul, 36 medals, and especially to Frankie Jones for the award.

Cracking closing ceremony, love Deacon Blue, great to see the lovely Jessica Mauboy - and of course Kylie was out of this world and looked absolutely stunning! Auld Lang Syne was the perfect finale. Just a shame the Proclaimers weren't there but then they are Edinburgh lads.

Little sad it's all over. Ah well, time to start saving for the Women's World Cup in Canada - come on Wales, get yourselves qualified...

As my other half would no doubt point out, the Proclaimers aren't really Edinburgh, although they were born in Leith. They grew up in the East Neuk of Fife and come from the same town as Jimmy Shand- Auchtermuchty! :o)
