Went to see the Leighton Buzzard Youth Theatre do Miss Saigon last night at a local upper school. The auditorium was a small proper theatre, complete with tiered covered seats. Very different from my schooldays; a lady in the row in front of me said "I was expecting school chairs in an assembly hall!" The show was very well staged and all the principals performed very well, especially 18-year-old Jenny Beckwith who turned in a stunning performance as Kim. I'd seen the play before - the West End production back in 1995 with my friend Carrie - but found the closing scenes as moving as ever. Gold stars all round.

Home in time for Trading Places on E4+1, but having been up early in the morning didn't make it past the first 36 minutes :(
