Watched the first half of an exciting Croatia v Australia match, but had to be content with that, because the game was on BBC3, and on Five House began at 9 pm. And my father simply does not miss House. Full stop. (He even got a friend to tape the two episodes that aired while they were in Cyprus.) So I retreated upstairs to my modest terrestrial-only portable to watch BB, keeping tabs on the football via radio during the ad breaks. Kudos to the Socceroos on getting to the second round, but consoling hugs to black_a_chan.

My mother is busy leafing through a hymn book choosing the hymns for her Civic Service on Sunday week. That would be OK, except every time she alights on a hymn she knows she begins humming it. Loud.

Thanks! I didn't get to watch the game because the sports channel had Brazil v. Japan on it instead. That game wasn't bad. Japan had some good chances midway through the first half.
