A meme gacked from [livejournal.com profile] nice_guy_but:

1. Go to http://www.thisdayinmusic.com
2. Click on Birthday Number One on the banner running across the page.
3. Enter your date of birth.
4. Post what song was number one on your date of birth.
5. If you want to get slightly strange go back 9 months and see what was number one when you were approximately conceived and post that too

DoB : Double Barrel - Dave and Ansil Collins
DoC : The Wonder of You - Elvis Presley

I already knew my birthday #1. I was in my mid-twenties before I actually heard the record, and that was only because I bought a reggae compilation that I wanted for some of the other songs on it. I put Double Barrel on first out of curiosity; it's a rootsy reggae instrumental, not really my kind of music. If I'd been born 8 days earlier I'd have had Hot Love by T Rex, which I love :(

A letter came this morning - my jury service has been postponed to November.

2 hours till the TV coverage starts, the Asda World Cup Crisps are out and the beers are in the fridge.

My birthday number one: Vincent by Don McLean. Cool... lovely piece of music.

The day my parents did the badness that resulted in me: How Can I Be Sure by David Cassidy.

You can't David, that's the tragedy of it all...

I like 'Double Barrel'. Better than mine, 'Ebony and Ivory' (I don't even have to look at one of those things to tell you that the nauseating sap in question was the song that was #1 when I was born).
