Doctor's surgery after work to see one of the triage docs. He said I'd have to have a blood test to check out my uric acid levels before my foot trouble can be confirmed as gout. In the meantime he's prescribed me some anti-inflammatories and advised me to take co-codamol (available over the counter) with them.

Driving on my bad foot was a bit painful; will decide in the morning whether another drive to work is preferable to the walk to the bus stop...

I really hope that what you are experiencing isn't gout. That's just so very painful! I do hope they get to what's causing the pain, though.
