Interviewing today was hell with my cold. Time and time again a sudden blocked feeling in my nose would cut off my breath while I was in the middle of talking, or it would just become so uncomfortable I'd have to try and force out a little blow without making a sound. Getting a diatribe from one foreign guy towards the end of the first hour about how he wasn't doing any more because he'd thought the first survey was a one-off, he thought doing just one was enough, and phoning him "disturbs" him didn't help either. Light relief came towards the end when Anita came up to my booth and said she was leaving on Thursday for a new job and she believed her new boss was my step-cousin. Sure enough, it's my step-cousin Annie (cousin as I think of her). "She's a lovely girl," Anita said approvingly.
