Got monitored by Heather #1 today. Fortunately my interview she listened in to was with a lovely lady, and I'd also had to show off my probing skills, so I came out with a pretty good review.

Just come from a driving lesson. Peter gave me an emergency stop today; I did what he called a lovely one, so no problems there. Shame that the next minute I proceeded to make a hash of the turn in the road. Open road driving not bad, though Peter reckons I'm still not slowing down enough approaching junctions, and I did forget to go into first waiting at a couple of them. After last time, when turning round a corner I stuck close to the kerb and swerved round a parked car at the last moment, only for that to bring on rapid panic steering. Peter said I should have come round wider... I mentioned that was different from last time and he said every situation is different, you have to assess each one individually and make the right move for that particular occasion. One day I'll get the hang of this...
