Today we got the e-mail detailing the Leap Week activities. We're not being asked to clean cupboards, thank goodness; what we are being asked to do is attend workshops on Classification & Methods and Dealing With Reluctance. There's also Assertiveness workshops for "anyone whose performance review states that they would benefit", and Sue #6 is looking for 10 volunteers to help her collate updated information sheets for all our booths. I'll lend her a hand if I have time in between workshops.
The bus from Titchfield missed the 2.55 82 at Fareham bus station by a whisker. On the 3.15 bus we went smack into the A32 crawl - and then the driver took the wrong turning at the Brockhurst roundabout and had to be told to get back on track by an old lady sitting at the front.
Driving lesson after work. I was decidedly rusty today, or as Peter put it "off-balance"; my gear-changing was a little sloppy and several of my manoeuvres didn't go smoothly. At the end of the lesson Peter ascribed it to me positioning the front seat too far forward, though he reckoned tiredness after my long bus journey home might have been a factor. He did say one of my junctions, where I had to wait behind another car before moving off, was absolutely perfect - "shame it wasn't like that the rest of the time".
Just when I thought my humping days were over, the parents had Sky installed today, including the telly in my room, which meant moving everything to install a phone line, so I now have to go hump all my boxes back into place YET again. Ah well, I'll be glad of it come 22 October when I'm watching Bordeaux v CFR Cluj in my own room, and at least I'm going round Katherine's later tonight.
