It's All Over Now Baby Blue

Not having a spare holiday or flex day, I wasn't able to watch Katie Summerhayes slopestyling this morning. The lack of any mention of the Winter Olympics on Heart's news bulletins throughout the work day made me wonder whether that meant the news from Sochi was bad, but it did enable me to avoid the result right up until I sat down in front of Today at the Games this evening.

Katie wasn't looking dejected during the intros in the studio, but she didn't look elated either...

After a few minutes' teasing, showing Katie's qualifying jump and the favourite crashing out, then two earlier finalists' runs...came Katie landing on her bum. Winter sports can be cruel.
