Born With A Smile On My Face
Jan. 18th, 2014 01:30 pmWent to MK yesterday evening for Pantomonium 2, the adult panto with the all-female cast. Adult it certainly was, it was as blue as anything! Penis, fanny and sex jokes abounded. The ladies also gave their satirical take on speed dating and counselling/therapy. Best of all were their raunchy parodies of pop songs, a stand-out being Dick Whittington trying to propose to Cinderella, while Cinders keeps interrupting to say she just wants him to lay her, to the tune of Bruno Mars' Marry You. The five women (it should have been six but one was sadly absent for reasons unknown - the PA announcement was "she forgot to put her knickers on") played 15 different parts between them; the company's two mainstays were the stars of the show, Anna Wingerath a great Dick Whittington, while Coylah Willock portrayed heroine Cinders perfectly as a vain 'it girl' and was hilarious, and hot, as scheming love rival Snow White - so much so that I found myself rooting for her despite her being the villainess, though this being a panto she, of course, came to a sticky end. A damn fine show.
Luton v Wrexham rained off today. Called in at Leighton Town; they were waterlogged too. Only one thing for it - going down the Heath Inn for spag bol and Jeff Stelling.
