Forever And Ever

The saga goes on and on...Over to the plush new second surgery on the other side of town this evening for a blood pressure review. The good news was that over the course of the several readings the doctor took, the upper figure fell from 139 (an improvement, and within acceptable range, to begin with); the bad news was that the lower figure obstinately floated between 95 and 97, still too high. The doctor was calm and affable and said it would probably be better next time; so it's back to the nurse again in a fortnight. The very day I leave for the week-long gathering of the clan in the Lake District.
