Land Of Confusion
Feb. 15th, 2012 05:58 pmThe healthcheck questionnaire saga continues...Last night I got a phone call from a lady at the department hoping to employ me, to say the healthcheck company had emailed them saying they were unable to process my application as I hadn't completed the questionnaire.
I told the lady I'd completed it last Wednesday, so she promised to relay that information back to the healthcheck company.
After a night very low on sleep, from the office this morning I rang the healthcheck company to tell them about last night's call. After several minutes of on-off putting me on hold, the lady there finally agreed that I'd done the questionnaire on the 8th. She said she couldn't do anything more at her end and advised me to ring my prospective employers to let them know my questionnaire was now online. Called the department, and spoke to a man who said the only person who could help me was the lady who rang me last night and that she didn't start work till 4 pm.
Back home after work, phoned the lady, who said she'd been in touch with the healthcheck company, and that I won't have to do the questionnaire yet again but that they (the healthcheck company) will be phoning me at some time in the near future to ask me some questions.
And so it goes on...Mark and Melissa both reckoned this is not going to be a problem, but at the back of my head is a nagging fear (irrational maybe) that the nightmare of the job offer being withdrawn might yet materialise...
