Step Into Christmas
Dec. 6th, 2011 07:46 pmThe festive spirit finally touched our team today. Bev, Mel and Chris got tinsel out of our decorations box this morning and taped strings around their monitors, prompting Sharon to nudge me to do the same. Then when Demelza came back from her trip home to check on her dog and saw our monitors all tinselled up, she gasped with delight and ran straight to the box to get a string for hers, then she took out a string of fairy lights she'd brought in and Bev and I helped her put them up along the wall.
Melissa brought in a tin of Celebrations and left them on a spare desk for us all. "What are these for?" Demelza asked her, and Melissa replied "Christmas". Later, as she rooted through the Celebrations looking for a favourite, she observed with dismay that there were no Galaxy Truffles. "There's a Twix instead," mused Mel. A quick Google search confirmed that the Galaxy Truffle Celebration has indeed been retired, replaced by the Twix. Looking at the Google results I added "There's a Facebook campaign to bring back the Galaxy Truffle." "I'll sign it," Melissa smiled.
