Went for my first solo motorway drive yesterday teatime, down to Blackfield & Langley for Hawks Ladies' Portsmouth Cup semi-final. Lots of the girls confirmed that they'd be coming to my 40th birthday party (especially when they heard there'd be karaoke). Had the pleasure of sitting near the lovely Niven sisters in the stand, but on the pitch, although Hawks again ran Pompey close, goals from Chloe and Kay couldn't stop a Justine Lorton-inspired Portsmouth running out 3-2 winners. As soon as the final whistle went I wished Michelle good luck for her and her University team-mates in the final and set straight off on the drive homeward. Branched the wrong way coming off the A35 and had to drive through Central Southampton to find my way on to the M27, but otherwise no problems.

Still no news about the job, and today someone on ebay posted scathing feedback on my profile without waiting for their refund from me (I'd innocently sold a PAYG Sim card thinking it had £10 on it, which was the impression I got from the lady at Argos - turns out you only get the tenner if you put it into the phone it originally came with). Thank goodness for the England cricket team.
