Jan. 7th, 2011 04:45 pmArrived at the office just after 6.45 this morning to hear the ear-splitting fire alarm sounding all through the place. I joined Simon, Frances and a lady from another department, who were huddled in an entranceway awaiting the all clear. At least we were under cover out of the cold and rain. Lovely Sharon arrived while we were waiting, so that helped, and Simon led us all in sneaking into the forbidden territory behind the door for a split second just to clock in.
The alarm stopped, and we were behind our desks by five past seven. We never found out what set it off.
