Jul. 27th, 2010 05:22 pm'Funday' at the office today. It rained threateningly all morning, but right on cue - thank you, weather gods, thank you, thank you - the rain stopped and the sun came out just minutes before the proceedings began at noon. So passed two pleasant hours wandering around the car park meeting up with people I'd hardly or never seen since leaving the telephone unit, watching the brave souls abseiling up the tower or riding the bucking bronco, doing the 'Western Films Quiz' (clues like 'Real gravel (4,4)') and of course visiting the barbecue area for 'Prairie Dogs in a roll' (just hot dogs, but there was a Wild West theme this year) washed down with a drink made from mint choc chip ice cream. Sue #5 was in charge of the book stall, everything just 25p - picked up Jennie Bond's book, a novel by Red Dwarf co-creator Rob Grant and The Vicar of Dibley Companion.
