We had a visit from our medical expert today, with two talks/discussion sessions with her - one before and one after lunch - so got a change of scenery for much of the day and a cup of coffee and biscuits, even if we did have to cram into a little room on the fourth floor. Sue said it was always difficult getting the use of rooms, so suggestions were made that next time we meet in a local pub or hire a conference room at the nearby Holiday Inn - although Sue wasn't altogether sure that the office would pay for the latter...

At lunch time Lin asked if I was going to the Southampton v Portsmouth cup tie. Looks like someone else who has trouble appreciating that you can live in Southern Hampshire and not support either of the local giants. I explained I'd be watching the match on TV before seeing my team, Havant & Waterlooville, play. Lin and Chris then went on to talk about the winding up order facing Pompey today.

It's Vera's birthday, so she brought muffins in for all of us, then late in the afternoon Sue found a box of Maltesers in the cupboard and passed them round - Chris declined on the grounds that if she had any, she'd buy a whole bag on the way home.

The bus was a quarter of an hour late, prompting grumbles, and wondering if it was going to show up at all this time, from us in the queue.
