Dec. 1st, 2009 06:07 pmWe had a quarterly staff meeting today, complete with mince pies and a Christmas Quiz. We were all put in teams according to our sections; my team immediately turned to me as I have a reputation as a triv king. I knew the answers to about 20 of the 30 questions and made educated guesses at a couple more, and the others between them got some of the rest. Demelza was amazed that I got the year of Cliff Richard's Mistletoe And Wine - 1988. I explained that then, as a 17-year-old, I was obsessed with music and the charts so was always going to remember. A couple of my guesses turned out to be wrong, but we still finished joint first with 25 points so we and our co-winners, who fortunately were the team who sit alongside us, won a box of Thornton's chocolates between us. We passed them round us all twice over the course of the afternoon, in between clearing our two-day workload, overcoming a few technical glitches on the way thanks to the magic touches of Elaine and Robbie.
