Had to go to the sorting office this morning for a recorded letter. The queue wasn't too bad, and it turned out to be the DVD of the Eurovision I'd pre-ordered. This year there's actually a commentary that you can turn on or off; not Mr Norton's, but one provided by two guys, one of whom edits the annual 'Eurosong News' published by the international Eurovision fan club as a handbook for the contest.

Driving lesson this afternoon. Stalled on the turn in the road from not getting the bite on the clutch, and didn't quite pick my starting point right for the bay park so ended up on the line, but my reverse round a corner was the best it's been for months - just slight adjustments of direction needed thanks to putting too much steering on more than once, but for the first time I got round with no prompting from Peter. Then pulled off a decent parallel park. On the open road driving Peter reckoned I lost concentration in the last half hour, still needed to think ahead more, and wasn't bringing the clutch up fast enough after getting moving, but he said to start preparing for my theory test when I return from holiday, and we're going to start doing mock tests then.
