Gah. Another wasted journey to a five-a-side. At least this time it was only Portsmouth, and only £5 wasted on fares, and I did get some much needed exercise walking from Hilsea station to the Roko and back, but it still rubs salt into the unhealed wound of Weymouth. Managing, by a superhuman effort, to keep my cool when I phoned Trevor to ask why our girls were absent from the tournament, I was told they'd been unable to raise a team (this was to have been our 'B' side, the 'A' team going to Plymouth next week) and that Trevor only found out at 8 this morning. He did go on to firmly impress on me that it was my responsibility to phone him or Lisa to check a game was on before setting off. I pointed out that Rob and Lisa are away this weekend and he said no, they were sitting with him right at that moment (and the three of them were no doubt all having a good guffaw at my second pointless journey in a week); it's next week they go away, so Dick will be in charge at Plymouth. Trev did say to make sure I phoned him before travelling to Plymouth, though he's 99% sure that one will be on. Ho hum.

I need a drink.
