May. 12th, 2009 03:08 pmDriving lesson started OK, and my reverse round the corner was going fine until, thinking to straighten up going down the straight, I steered two revolutions to the right instead of just one and had to extricate myself from the hopeless mess that resulted. Then, minutes later, I stalled when trying to turn right having waited in the 'box' (not enough gas apparently) and from there on it was downhill all the way. I stalled again on the turn in the road and committed one howler after another - getting progressively more fed up - though my parallel park wasn't bad. At the end Peter said I'd have to work on not going down the chute because of one mistake, but that my main problem was still not reacting early enough to hazards and that we'd work on that next week. Ho hum.
