Sep. 30th, 2008 11:04 pmToday there were enough people in for me to be lent to Sue #6 for removing old information sheets from the carousel in every booth and replacing them with new ones. I was warned at the top of the shift that I might be needed to go on the phones at 5.45, when a lot of people were going to Classi & Methods forum, but mercifully this didn't happen - there wasn't enough phone work to go round even without me. Robert, the other guy on carousel duty, had had enough at 7 pm and went back on the phones, but I declined an offer from Lesley to let me do the same soon after. Although the paper-changing was a bit wearing, interviewing was the last thing I felt like with my cold. I was having to go and blow my nose at regular intervals, though the dust in some of the carousels contributed to that, and by the second half of the shift I was sweating like a pig. Some of the girls made good-natured comments as I came by their booths, and Ruth #2 and Lynn both offered to do their own (the computer had run out of households for them to phone so they were left sitting idle).
Checked my e-mail at the end of the shift and found one from Katherine to say she'd had a 8 lb 4 oz boy, George, on Friday, they were both doing well and she was back home now. Sweet.
Home for Deadliest Catch on Discovery + 1. Texted Malc to ask how Hawks did in the replay at Shortwood; we won 1-0. Phew.
