Still have a throatful, and my nose is getting stuffier :(
Paul and Dan engaged me in a discussion on Euro 2008 this morning after they heard me telling Ali about my winning the Holland shirt on ebay. Dan'll be supporting Spain and thinks this is the tournament where they'll finally come good. He, like Ali, sees the plus side of a tournament without England, enabling people to just sit back and enjoy the brilliant football. Paul has a bit of a chip on his shoulder about England's failure to qualify; he seems to be remaining neutral, though he's tipping Croatia to win and doesn't want Italy to!
Paula remarked that she'd had an internal e-mail warning her of dire consequences if she circulated 'inappropriate material'. As she has shared with all of us in our row, via the internal e-mail, several jokes, some of which have had sexual content, she wondered if she was being singled out personally, but I told her I got the same message yesterday and that they've probably sent it to everybody.
