The parents left for Cyprus in the middle of the night. For me it's two weeks' plant-watering duty.
Hawked up a huge Dockyard Oyster on the way to the bus stop this morning. Throat not affecting my speech as much as on Monday, but still niggled me all through today's shift.
Terry said to me as I passed his desk "You're a connoisseur of Dutch football, aren't you?" As a Southampton fan, he wanted the low-down on their new boss Jan Poortvliet's managerial track record!
It's World Environment Day, so in the office canteen there was an information display about green issues, people giving out free biodegradable jute bags, recycled pencils, note pads and tea towels, and a free green lucky-dip draw. I won a water-powered clock.
