Dec. 5th, 2007 02:55 pmDoctor's this afternoon. She, rather briskly, asked if I was still a non-smoker - I confirmed yes - then if I'd come about my chest again. I told her about the cold symptoms and cough. She listened to my chest and my back, then said the infection hadn't come as far down as my lungs yet and that she'd prescribe me antibiotics. When I told her about the gas in my stomach, she said that was down to the antibiotics I'd taken in October killing off my friendly bacteria - "and now we're going to do the same again!" After checking I wasn't allergic to penicillin she decided to prescribe me that this time, as that'd do less damage, and advised me to eat natural yogurt to restore my friendly bacteria. Ironically I already eat natural yogurt at breakfast most days, but mixed with honey. So the honey has to go.
