Dec. 3rd, 2007 11:00 pmStill hawking up occasional spots of green among prodigious amounts of gob, and the gas in my stomach is still there. Made an appointment to see the doctor on Wednesday afternoon.
Arrived at the office to find the Christmas tree up in the foyer, and decorations in the canteen. Breaded lamb cutlet with cranberry sauce for lunch - delicious.
Went up to the coffee lounge to find some of the ladies taking a break, decidedly displeased with the management! Marilyn had got the Telephone Unit's box of Christmas decorations out first thing this morning, and a few of the girls had put up a couple of paper chains before their 9.30 start time, but then Phil had told Marilyn that they couldn't carry on putting any more up on work time - at 9.30 sharp everyone had to go on the phones. Now, over coffee, accusations of "Scrooge" were flying around. Mandy said to me "You'll have to come in at 7 am tomorrow and put the others up".
Jane kindly bought my last book of HawkSupport raffle tickets. Ann asked if I had any more, so I promised to get a book for her this Saturday - Jane wants a second book too. Result.
Lots of people remarked to me about Hawks' win on Saturday - even two of the ladies who don't follow football - and a couple of the guys sympathised about us not getting a big club in the third round.
I may just have done an evening shift, but I have work again in the morning, so 'night folks.
