(no subject)

I signed up for the Monday evening shifts, starting next month, today. Pat did hesitate before printing the papers, as she wanted to offer me the chance to finish at 9 pm to allow me to get a bus home instead of having to take a taxi to Fareham bus station, but I said it made no difference as the last bus goes at 6.30 anyway. It was only later that it occurred to me that maybe I could have used Pat's hesitancy to wangle an 8 pm finish. I guess I was thinking that would have been a non-starter the way Mary had wavered over it last week. Ah well, I need the dosh.
