Jul. 6th, 2007 04:30 pmToday's shift wasn't bad at all, though how much of that was down to its being the last of five in a row I'm not sure. Anyway I had Sue #3 next to me, and she helped a great deal with whimsical little snippets of conversation here and there. There were also long periods when the team leaders were away from their desks, so during those spells if we wanted an appointment or had to report something we had to stand around and wait for a leader to return - anything that helps the minutes go by... Towards the end, when I came off a call the lady next to me said "You've been a busy bee today."
"In places. There's been the odd spell when it's dragged."
"You sounded busy to me. My whole shift's dragged."
There were a few Jaffa cakes and mini-muffins on the nibbles table, left over from yesterday, but I again left them alone, completing a full week of resistance. *gives self gold star*
To the coffee lounge to check my e-mails while awaiting the bus. Half a dozen people were there watching Federer v Fereiro - among them my old pal Alan. Said hello.
Sue #3 had predicted that it would start tipping down with rain towards the end of the shift; I told her how, every day this week, the heavens have opened while I've been standing at the bus stop. But today - not a drop. *touches wood*
Off now until next Wednesday - hooray.
