May. 17th, 2007 06:20 pmI was walking down the High Street this afternoon, on my way to check out Methvens to see if they had Michelle Dewberry's autobiography, when it really hit me that my life on the mayoral circuit was over.
It was a bit like I'd been in the BB House or something and this was my first day back on the outside.
They didn't have Michelle's book and their computer was on the blink, so a lady took down my name and phone number and promised to order it for me once their system was back up.
Began walking back homeward, with that strange sobering feeling.
At least Morrisons had Bavaria lager on special offer, 8 cans for £5, and there's The Two Ronnies on ITV3 tonight.
