Massive thanks and Christmas hugs to everyone who voted for Fairytale of New York yesterday. You made all the difference, as we beat Donny Osmond by the tiniest of margins. Cheers!

Now it's the final, so please, please vote Fairytale just one more time. It's up against the toughest opponent yet - Queen's Thank God It's Christmas, which has so far won every vote it's been in by a landslide. So I'm asking for your help again one last time now - thank you so much. Here's the link:

Voting closes at 8 am UK time tomorrow, then I won't be badgering you again. Huge thanks once more to everyone who's voted.

Having sampled them for the first time today, thanks to another Christmas nibbles table, I absolutely love Sweet Potato Kettle Chips.

Carole, Carolyn and I got to spend nearly an hour off the phones today, as we read the notes on some extra questions being added to the survey for the Jan-Mar quarter then ran through some test questionnaires. My last interview, though, overran by a couple of minutes, so for Christmas goodbyes I had to settle for the girls waving to me as they went by me on their way out. Then down to the library to kill an hour catching up on e-mails.

The bus was a quarter of an hour late because the whole area's shrouded in fog - every few minutes you can hear a ship's foghorn. Looks like I haven't missed anything dipping out on going to Lake of Lights, you wouldn't be able to see a sausage anyway.
