We had the Sky Sports cameras in today to film the Hawks faithful singing 'Under The Moon Of Love' behind the goal - presumably they're going to show it during an FA Cup preview on Saturday. Alas, they still hadn't got round to filming us by 2.50, so I had to make my way to my seat and leave the limelight to the guys who watch the game standing. Trev helped by playing the song over the PA as the teams ran out - I could see the cameraman filming the fans singing and clapping along.
Hawks won 2-0, with a magnificent lob from Alfie Potter and a Rocky Baptiste penalty (though Rocky wasted several other chances and really should have been subbed, but wasn't) - a short burst of Under The Moon greeted each goal. Good to see a win after one point from the last two games.
On the train home the guard asked me how we'd got on. When I told him we'd won he was delighted - the driver was a Bognor fan and the guard was hoping he'd be able to wind him up. The guard, it turned out, had played for Havant in the late 1960s when they were a park team.
