Last shift before Åland. Saying "see you on the 1st of August" to people as I said my goodbyes today was a great feeling. One or two still didn't know I was going on holiday, so I got to explain to them where I was going and why. Sarah #1 said "Don't do anything I wouldn't do," with a roguish glint in her eye; Mary told me "Don't think of us while you're there". I said a fond goodbye and "Break a leg" to Amanda, apologising for not being able to come to her play (it does look interesting, and if I'd known about the dates I'd probably have booked my hols to start a day or two later); she was absolutely fine, thanking me for the wishes.

Hit the kebab shop on the way home for a celebratory large Doner and chips.

Mmmm, large doner and chips. I haven't had a doner in ages. The restaurant the lads from the office go to on a Friday does some pretty good ones (well, most of the time), but I've been eating shish kebabs recently for the actual recognisable meat. Today's chicken shish was particularly fine. I must have a doner soon though.
