The girls are playing their Invitation Cup tie with Salisbury at Downton tonight, but I won't be there. When I phoned Lisa, she said they were short on car space today, as two of the girls who normally drive aren't playing as they're Cup-tied, and Simon won't be bringing his car either, so I'd have to make my own way to the game. The journey wasn't a problem, but when I surfed online to check out bus services, I found there wasn't a bus from Downton after the match that would get me to Salisbury station in time for the last train. And a taxi from Downton to Salisbury would cost at least £15, cash I just don't have.

Lisa had said she should be able to arrange me a lift home, so I rang her back to ask if they could definitely get me one. She said she couldn't promise as she won't know the car situation until they arrive at Downton - and by then it'll be far too late for me to set off.

So I'm not going to make it. Fuck you, Mistress Overdraft, fuck you up the arse with a 6' cucumber.
